S.M.A.R.T. Challenge: the call for solutions is launched!

Supported by the Ark Foundation, the S.M.A.R.T. Challenge is launched today! The goal of this initiative is to identify and support innovative solutions that focus on improving accident prevention, preparing outdoor enthusiasts and facilitating safe outdoor summer activities. The deadline for submitting solutions is April 30, 2023 (noon). Apply now!

Organized by the innovation ecosystem in health and sport, SMART Confluence, and supported by CimArk, The Ark Foundation, Clinique romande de réadaptation (CRR Sion), Swiss Olympic Medical Center, Hôpital du Valais, Digitourism, Val d'Anniviers, R&D Cycling, Magic Mountains Cooperation, ADOT, SpArk, HES-SO Valais-Wallis, NPR, the S.M.A.R.T. Challenge is open to all.

Do you have a passion for outdoor summer activities and want to improve their safety? Take up one of the three challenges and win a prize of up to CHF 25,000 in support and financial assistance to successfully accelerate the implementation of your solution!

To be eligible, the solutions submitted must apply to outdoor summer activities and improve prevention, preparation or accompany the practice to make it safer. 

The Valais, an ideal playground

The canton of Valais in Switzerland is an attractive playground for outdoor summer activities such as hiking, mountain biking, electric biking and trail activities. However, poor preparation can easily turn into tragedy and the risks of accidents are numerous.
