Symposium Biocatalysis

Aim
The aim of the 1 Day symposium on biocatalysis is to provide a platform for scientific knowledge transfer and diaog for participants from industry, academia and other independent research centres working in this continuously growing research field. Within an interdisciplinary and open atmosphere recent and challenging topics of biocatalysis shall be discussed. With an increasing interest in industrial biocatalysis processes, the meeting should stimulate cooperations and strong networking among the participants.

Scope
The symposium covers a wide range of topics related to applied biocatalysis, which reflects a research focus of Empa St.Gallen:

  • C-C bond forming reactions
  • Asymmetric C=C bond reduction
  • Metalloenzymes
  • Development of new biocatalysts
  • Principles behind biocatalysis
  • Applied biocatalysis in industry

Conference fee
Participants from industry: CHF 400.–
Participants from university and research centres: CHF 200.–; including coffee, lunch and farewell aperitif.

Cancellations
Refunds will be made until December 15, 2009.
After December 15, only a replacement is accepted.
