National event in August
The topic of smart energy is underpinned by an annual event: the national Smart Energy day, which this year will take place on 31 August in Sion. Valais is a major producer of hydroelectric power, with an open-air laboratory (BlueArk Entremont) and numerous academic centres (eEnergy Center, EPFL Valais, HES-SO Valais-Wallis), and as such, is clearly positioned at the heart of energy digitalisation.
